BRUS in Milan: Strengthening Bonds Between the Bodø Region and Italy
In a period of increasing international interest in Northern Norway, BRUS has recently visited the Innovation Norway office in Milan. The meeting, led by project manager Kim Jørgen Andreassen, was a strategic step to promote the international projects of the Bodø region, including Bodø International School, route development, and the internationalization of the region.
An important part of our strategy is to promote our regional projects and activities to potential markets for collaboration.
“Our visit to Innovation Norway was an important opportunity to highlight the Bodø region’s ambitions on the international stage,” says Kim Jørgen Andreassen. “We presented our key projects and discussed how we can attract more labor and investments to the region.”
Elisabeth Ones, responsible for tourism in Milan and the host of the meeting, notes that there is significant interest in Nordland among Italians, both in terms of tourism and business opportunities. “We see great value in supporting BRUS in their efforts to bring more international attention and resources to the region,” says Ones.
“We believe that this type of international collaboration will not only enrich our region but also create new opportunities for both Norwegian and Italian actors,” Andreassen adds.
We look forward to a stronger connection between the Bodø region and potential Italian partners, aiming to strengthen the region’s position as an attractive international player.
